"Simulation is Here...Are You Ready?" - 11th Annual Sim Conference at OSU-OKC

 

The 2017 Oklahoma Healthcare Workforce Center Simulation Conference will be held on Tuesday, May 23rd at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Oklahoma City and on Wednesday, May 24th at Oklahoma State University - OKC Allied Health Building.  Continuing education credits are available for attendees and discounted registration runs until May 1st so be sure to register soon.

Highlights of the conference include:

  • Keynote address by Dr. Catherine Morse titled “Speaking Up With Good Judgement”
    • Speaking up for patient safety is a skill that all health care providers agree is essential. Despite this the act of speaking up is a challenging and difficult. The gap between telling providers and students to speak and then being able to speak up in real and simulated patient cases is where we need to be working to positively impact the rate of speaking up. Speaking up with Good Judgment will be presented as a solution.
