Welcome to New Board Director Dr Lori Lioce


 SimGHOSTS are delighted to welcome new Board Director, Dr Lori Lioce DNP, FNP, CHSE, CHSOS, FAANP.



Dr. Lori Lioce earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Samford University and a post doctoral certificate in Healthcare Simulation Education at Bryan College of Health Sciences. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, an Internationally Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator and Certified Healthcare Simulation Operation Specialist. She currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor and Executive Director of the Learning and Technology Resource Center at The University of Alabama in Huntsville College of Nursing.

Dr. Lioce has been instrumental in the development and implementation of theoretically based simulation programs in the undergraduate and graduate programs. She has sustained scholarly contributions with over 30 international presentations and 25 publications in the last 5 years on simulation education. She specializes in simulation operations, curriculum development and implementation, strategic planning, faculty development, simulation design, and programmatic quality improvement. She has over 20 years of service to the profession. She serves on the Board of Directors for SimGHOSTS and international simulation operations organization, as the Chair of the Heart of the Valley YMCA’s Early Childhood Education Centers, Editor-in-Chief for the Society for Simulation in Healthcare’s Simulation Dictionary, Huntsville Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees, UAH faculty senate and serves as an independent healthcare simulation education consultant.
