What Do SimGHOSTS Have Planned for 2019?

01/02/2019

SimGHOSTS had one of our most successful years ever in 2018 with two record breaking events in Australia and the USA, two research projects started, and two important programs launched to support healthcare simulation technology careers; the SimGHOSTS Simulation Champion Award and the SimGHOSTS Mentorship Program.

January is traditionally a time for planning, goal setting and resolution-making. It’s no different for us at SimGHOSTS and we have some exciting plans for 2019 that include:

  • Events in Miami, Singapore and another location to be announced soon.
  • A new e-learning platform with new online courses to be launched January 21st, and
  • Publication of a textbook for healthcare simulation technology users.

We will also continue work on the research projects that were started in 2018. These projects are aimed at gaining a better understanding of burnout in the profession, and an analysis of healthcare simulation technology careers and training pathways.

SimGHOSTS only has two staff members - so everything that we do is achieved largely through the support of the Board and volunteers who generously contribute much of their time and energy each month to supporting the healthcare simulation technology community. If you would like to be a part of the SimGHOSTS volunteer team, please submit an expression of interest here detailing your areas of expertise and how you would like to be involved. We are looking for both regular and occasional contributors.

You will notice some changes to our website soon as well. We have some updates and upgrades planned for both the subscriber and public sections of our website that will help you to find a job, prepare and train for your job, and to support you throughout your simulation technology career. If you have any requests or suggestions of ways that we can support you please contact us here
