Todd Dadaleares, CHSOS joins SimGHOSTS Board of Directors

The SimGHOSTS team welcomes Todd Dadaleares to the Board of Directors.

Todd Dadaleares is a Simulation Specialist at the Hannaford Center for Safety, Innovation and Simulation at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. As a high fidelity simulation specialist and multimedia facilitator, Todd brings extensive experience in design, implementation and operations to the clinical simulation environment.  In his role as Operations Manager/Simulation Specialist at the University of New England from 2004 to 2010, he designed, installed and implemented all the AV, IT and simulation equipment for the labs and produced simulations for the Clinical Simulation Program. During this time the program grew to incorporate five simulation theatres and two debrief rooms, several fledgling programs and worked with Maine Medical’s anesthesia and emergency medicine resident training programs. In 2010 Todd graduated to the Hannaford Center as Chief Simulation Specialist where he trained new simulation specialists, consulted in the design and installation of the sim and AV technology, and helped expand the many educational opportunities delivered through Maine Health. As a senior specialist on the team, Todd has experience with many of the leading simulation technologies, virtual trainers and modes of teaching.

Todd studied Music Performance at the University of Maine Augusta and majored in Media and Communications at the University of Southern Maine and Southern Maine Community College. With a background in music production, audio-visual creation, and communications, Mr. Dadaleares formulates technically sound and artistically rich productions whether producing simulations or creating compelling music and videos. Todd is also an accomplished musician, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with 30 years of experience in the recording and performing arts. He’s released nine albums over that time with Mercy, HoneyBeard, Cyclops and his solo efforts. His new collective is called Cimi Cifuga and plans are for a summer of 2020 release with live performances to follow. With sixteen years in the medical simulation field and twenty-five years in AV and music production, Todd’s dynamic presentation style creates an atmosphere of inclusive learning that fosters connections within the diverse realm of clinical simulation.

As a SimGHOSTS member, Todd has presented on a wide variety of subjects including “Audio Issues in Simulation,” “Full Body Moulage for Emergency Trauma Simulation” and “Building an Ultra High Fidelity PICU Simulation for Orienting Nurses.”  Todd’s travels lecturing with the SimGHOSTS team has taken him to the Republic of Singapore, London, UK, Dubai UAE, Chicago and Los Angeles, USA.

Todd is extremely excited for the future of SimGHOSTS and as a board member expects to add his energy, experience and unique perspective to moving the organization and simulation forward.
