Entering its fifth year, The Gathering Of Healthcare Simulation Technology Specialists provided support to Sim Techs throughout the world by hosting their technical training event in conjunction with the Association for Simulated Practice in Healthcare (ASPiH).

For the past five years, SimGHOSTS has continued to see increased attendance by the international community of Simulation Technology Specialists at its annual hands-on training events. With a mission to connect the world's growing population of simulation technology professionals together, the non profit organization's leadership has continued to engage in relationship building with organizations inside and outside the United States.  Our inaugural Australia event hosted in 2014 by the University of the Sunshine Coast was a rousing success which brought together over a hundred simulation champions from around the world.  The enthusiasm from the Australia event inspired SimGHOSTS to seek out partners in other regions, which led to the partnership with ASPiH for a 2015 event.

ASPiH President Dr. Helen Highman said of the partnership: "There is a growing body of evidence to demonstrate that medical simulation training for healthcare professionals improves patient safety. Despite the fact that this training works it is clear that in the UK and worldwide the lack of technical support and faculty training required is preventing our medical staff accessing simulation teaching adequately. SimGHOSTS is the global leader for the support and development of simulation technicians in healthcare and is already making huge strides in promoting their work. As president of ASPiH I am delighted that we have recently signed an affiliation with SimGHOSTS to progress our joint aim of providing affordable hands-on training events and online community and educational resource support"
